Visually, the focus is to portray the process of changing countries, highlighting the challenges faced, the sincerity of reunions with family after years of separation, the complexity of the immigration process, and life in the community. Many women on this journey struggle with loneliness. This project represents the various facets of these women's journeys in the diaspora, highlighting their struggles, achievements, and the resilience required to build a better life in New York City. It's not just about immigration; it's about splitting your story in two: before and after, living between two worlds.
